He has been on the Board of numerous companies throughout his career (in Europe, the USA and Australia). Former President of MOL and Westel, and former Member of the Board of CreditAnstalt Investment Bank. He was the CEO of Investel between 1993-2000 and CFO of the telecommunications company Matáv from 1994. He worked as treasury advisor at Ameritech in Chicago in 1996. He was the owner of Heti Válasz between 2004-2009. He was a guest researcher at the Heritage Foundation in Washington in the field of political economics. Member of the Supervisory Board of the Saint Francis Foundation of Déva. In 2003, he established the Kálmán Széll Foundation. In 2010, he was awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic for his achievements in economics and social activities. He has been the Chairman of Design Terminal since 2016.
Graduated summa cum laude in Accounting from the State University of New York. He acquired his Master’s Degree at the London School of Economics before continuing his post-graduate studies at the University of Chicago. He has invested in numerous businesses and been the leader of several others. He worked at the Chemical Bank in New York as a Risk Analyst for five years, before being appointed Vice-President at the same organisation. From 1991, he helped build the Advisory Department focusing on the Hungarian banking system at Deloitte &Touch. Between 2004 and 2013, he cooperated in the launch of many SMEs, both as an investor and an expert. He has been a Member of the Board of Design Terminal since 2016.
Graduated from Budapest Corvinus University with a degree in international studies and is currently in his final year of MBA studies at the Central European University Business School. He was responsible for strategic communication at the State Secretariat for Government Communication between 2010-2012. He has been the CEO of Design Terminal since 2012. In 2014, he was chosen by Forbes Hungary as one of the 30 most successful young leaders, while Google, the Financial Times and the International Visegrád Fund named him one of the most prominent digital leaders of the region. He is a founding member of Brain Bar, one of Europe’s largest festivals of future thinking.
Márk is the new type of bank leader - he has joined the bank more than two years ago as a COO and his goal was to transform the then 65-year old MKB to Hungary’s best digital bank. He was later promoted to Chief Digital And Retail Officer. With his experience in consulting, auditing and finance, he brought a new approach to MKB: he implements total digital transformation - rebuilding the IT architecture and reorganising the business processes. He believes in cooperation and open innovation. His goal is for MKB Bank to become the partnerbank in the regional fintech scene. He is a board member at large of the American Chamber of Commerce.
